Dorothy May (Waldref) Allstot, 82, Sioux Falls, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Bethany Nursing Home in Brandon.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 11:00 am at Central Baptist Church, Oakwood Chapel, Sioux Falls. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Dorothy May Waldref was born on May 20, 1932 in Sioux Falls South Dakota to David and Luverne Waldref (Brewer).

On June 25, 1956, she was united in marriage with Cecil J Allstot in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple resided in Sioux Falls, SD. Dorothy moved to Bethany Home Brandon in November 2012.

Dorothy attended school at Hawthorne, Longfellow and Washington High School. Dorothy enjoyed working at the Jet Café in her younger years. She was a devoted mother and homemaker after she married.

She enjoyed attending Northend Community Church and Central Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #628 in Sioux Falls and the Center for Active Generations. For hobbies, she enjoyed many activities such as, music, cards, Bingo, Wheel of Fortune, although her passion was dancing and spending time with her family.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Gene (Paula) Allstot of Vermillion SD, Susan Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD, Michael Allstot of Sioux Falls, SD, Patty (Garry) Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas Allstot of Sioux Falls, SD, and Tammy Myott of Centerville SD; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her brother David Waldref of Chico CA and her sister Ellen Leris of Sioux Falls, SD; her special friends of Bethany, Delilah Merrick, Marlene Thorson, Joyce Shackle and Bernadine Hoel; and many friends and family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil (Buck) Allstot; her parents David Waldref and Luverne Leris; one sister, Grace Waldref; one brother, Franklin Waldref; her step-father, George Leris; her son-in-law, Tim Myott.
