Patricia M. Clark
September 2, 1965 - October 31, 2017

Patricia M. Clark, 52, of Sioux Falls, SD died Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Visitation begins at 4:00 PM Sunday, November 5 at George Boom Funeral Home & Crematory, Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Private committal of the urn will take place at a later date.

Patricia Marie Clark, daughter of Vern Lalley and Corrinne Neff, was born with her twin sister, Michelle on September 2, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA. Raised in Southern California, Patty moved to South Dakota at the age of 16. She graduated Plankinton High School in 1982. Patty moved to Arizona where she had her first daughter, Rebecca, in 1985. She then moved back to South Dakota to be closer to her family. Patty resided in Mitchell, SD and had her second daughter, Dena, in 1986 and her son, Jarod, in 1988.

After moving to Sioux Falls, SD in the early 90’s, Patty raised her three kids in accordance with her values of honesty, hard work and family first. She worked at Old Home Bread and later Land O’ Lakes Dairy. Patty then returned to the bakery where she spent the remainder of her career. Her production career was a hard path in which she was very successful. Patty built numerous long lasting friendships there.

Patty met the love of her life, Pete Gottenborg, while working at Land O’ Lakes in 1999. She would load trucks at the dairy while Pete was a truck driver. He became a staple in Patty’s life and this world will struggle to find two people who shared a stronger love.

Patty loved cooking and grilling while spending time with loved ones. She would spend hours on the phone with her sister, Michelle, or sitting on the porch with her kids and Pete while doing family grill outs, gardening and growing a luscious lawn. Patty’s love for music was indescribable. She would always go to new extremes during the Christmas season. She hated South Dakota cold, but loved summertime and spent most of those days laying out and soaking up the sunshine or spending the days at the lake with her kids. Patty let the world know that her children and her family was her priority while living life her way. She was the living definition of strength all the way to the end, where she was surrounded by the people that she spent her life with.

Grateful for having shared her life are her companion, Pete Gottenborg, Sioux Falls, SD; three children, Rebecca Herbek and her husband, Eric, Tea, SD, Dena Morken, Sioux Falls, SD, Jarod Morken and his wife, Mandy, Crooks, SD; six grandchildren, Aubrey Kenyon, Jackson Herbek, Peyton Herbek, Lucas Morken, Patrick Morken, Christian Morken; two siblings, Michelle Clark, West St. Paul, MN, Jeff Clark, Covina, CA; and many other relatives and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents.
