June 19, 1951 - June 24, 2020
Pamela Shatter, 69, of Lake Poinsett, SD passed away on June 24, 2020 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28 also at the funeral home.
Pamela Sorum, daughter of Kenneth and Lucina (Schueder) Sorum was born June 19, 1951, in Iowa. She grew up in Sioux City and Kingsley, Iowa. She graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1970. She was united in marriage to Robert Quigley on July 22, 2006. After retirement they moved to Lake Poinsett in 2015 and have lived there since.
Pam loved shopping and loved trips in to town or calling in to QVC to get her fix. That love of shopping lent itself well for her professional life where she worked as a purchasing agent for Avera, Sanford, and later North Central Heart. Living at Lake Poinsett led to many fun times on the water and jet skiing. Pam loved her furry friend Moji. Her family was the number one thing in her life, and she rarely missed an event that the grandchildren participated in.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Quigley of Lake Poinsett; son, Wade (Sheila) Shatter of Crooks, SD; three grandchildren, Logan, Paige, and Autumn Shatter of Crooks; brother, Lynn (Sharleen) Sorum of Belmont, IA; and sister-in-law, Lori Sorum of Sun City, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lucina; and brothers, Bob Sorum and Terra Lucart.
