Robert Bernard Daignault
March 30, 1959 - November 4, 2019
Sioux Falls, SD ~ Robert “Bob” Bernard Daignault, age 60, died on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2019 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. SD with his family present to greet friends for visitation from 1:00 PM on Friday until the time of his service.
Robert Bernard Daignault was born on March 30, 1959 in Haverhill, MA to William A. and Marcelle (Cox) Daignault. He was raised and received his education in Haverhill graduating from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1977.
In 1979, Bob made his home in Sioux Falls, SD and began working at John Morrell and Company. Bob worked at John Morrell for 20 years before finding his dream job on the railways at Ellis and Eastern Company. Bob was currently still working as a Locomotive Engineer at the time of his passing.
Bob was united in marriage with Deborah Lynn Adams on May 8, 1992 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Bob took great pride in his yard and garden, he loved helping others in need and above all, loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Deborah Daignault, Sioux Falls, SD; four step-daughters: Tara McBride, Sioux Falls, SD, Heather (Mike Peña) McBride, Brookings, SD, Bobi (Vince Phrommany) McBride, Sioux Falls, SD and Allysa McBride, Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren: Kayleigh, Lorenzo, Sophia, Isaac, Hayden, Alicia, Kaytlin, Jace, Surianna, Audrianna, KyAnn and Brandon; one great-grandson, Nathaniel; three sisters: Charlene Bombard of Salisbury, MA, Lucille Stachulski and her husband, Joseph of Haverhill, MA and Marcelle Soini and her husband, Donald of Georgetown, MA; his feline companion, Ozzie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Kay Havlovic; his parents, William and Marcelle Daignault; infant sister, Lucile Daignault; two brothers, William Daignault III and infant brother, Paul Daignault; one brother-in-law, Jake Bordeaux.
